Happy Halloween!

We had a terrific Halloween and really love our neighborhood!  Zander said it was the "best day since Christmas", and the twins kept up well for the trick-or-treating.  Our candy bucket will be stocked for quite some time.

Barton Hills Farm

Though we missed Rick, who was busy saving lives at work, the kids and I enjoyed beautiful Fall weather at the Barton Hills Farm in Bastrop.  It was a peaceful yet fun afternoon by the Colorado River, with a great corn maze to explore.  We followed that adventure with a quick visit to the Texas Book Festival, as well as a stop at HEB for pumpkin acquisition.

Sunday fun and a surprise visit!

Yesterday, Zander and his fellow 3rd graders at our church--the Class of 2022--received their first Bibles.  There were so many 3rd graders that the $1000 of Bibles filled a wheelbarrow!  

Zander was quick to dive into his new book.

 We also enjoyed a quick visit to the book store after church.

 The highlight of our weekend was a surprise visit from Nana!  Zack was proud of the 4 soccer goals he scored (more like 3 1/2).  We were proud of both he and Zoe.   They tried hard and had a lot of fun!

Birthday Fun

Rick planned a terrific birthday for me that included closing on our Beard house, a surprise trip to the mall, lunch at the movies, a special dinner at Uchiko, and live music at Highball.  After being spoiled on Friday, our fun continued with a quick trip up to Grapevine's Great Wolf Lodge.  It was a super fun time!

 Zander LOVED the wizard game "Magic Quest".  We split our time between the game and the fabulous indoor water park.  I need to bring a waterproof camera next time.

The Blasters-1st Game!

The Blasters had a terrific first game!  The kids had a lot of fun, and both of our twins scored!  Unfortunately we were missing two of our players, so our little Blasters felt pretty tired by the end of the game. 

Lego Kidfest

In addition to a great first week back at school, we enjoyed some fun activities.  The twins started soccer, and Zoe has begun her 3rd year of dance...hard to believe.  On Saturday, Rick and Zander enjoyed the Lego Kidfest's visit to Austin.  Despite quite a bit of labor, we enjoyed our Labor Day weekend!

 First soccer practice-the twins had a great time!  Great teammates and terrific coaches...should be a fun couple of months.  At least that's what I'll keep telling myself to get everyone to the soccer field by 8 every Saturday!  ;)

First Day at School

Zander is ready for a great year in 3rd grade, and the twins are excited to begin Pre-K.  We are looking forward to three years with them all at the same school- HOORAY!

End of Summer Fun!

We enjoyed some terrific food and fun at the Hula Hut.  Followed stocking up on a few items needed for our Fall activities- dance shoes, soccer shoes, and soccer balls.  We should have some great pictures ahead!

Ready for school!

With all of the school supplies ready to go, Zoe and I took time to enjoy her first mani/pedi. She had fun visiting each chair to take a closer look and chat with the ladies.
