Crawfish Rewind

My recent visit to a favorite blog reminded me of some cute crawfish pictures with Zander, who at the time was just a few months older than the twins...hard to believe how time flies!

Lone Star Classic

This week, our good friends Mike and Cris invited us to participate in the 30th Annual Lone Star Classic--a series of fundraising events for the Lone Star Paralysis Foundation, for which our friend Mike is the Executive Director. Thursday night involved a "Party at the Ditch" at El Arroyo with margaritas, food, fun, professional atheletes and celebrities. Friday started off with a golf tournament (not with us) and ended with a Banquet and Comedy Show at the Four Seasons that included an amazing dinner, a hilarious series of comedians, and a glimpse into the inspiring work of the Foundation to cure paralysis caused by Spinal Cord Injury. This coming year, the Brain and Spine Recovery Center at Brackenridge Hospital will be one of 5 places in the country to begin umbilical stem cell trials in injured adults! Thousands of dollars were raised during this week's events...I had to hold down Rick's arms when they auctioned off a Longhorn football helmet complete with signatures of all the 2005 champion team. Anyway, we had a great time and were thankful to Cris and Mike for including us. Special thanks to Uncle Tim for "watching the monitor" two nights in a row! :)

Mike and Cris-
And a little video because I know why you visit our blog...and yes, since she is a size behind, Zoe gets to wear some of Zack's hand-me-down PJ's--she pulls it off well...

Dinner and a Haircut

Here are a few pics from our "exciting" Saturday night family outing...We started with a hair trim for our Zack-Attack. The sitting still part was tricky so when all else failed, a lollipop saved the day! Of course Daddy thought it was only fair that Zoe got a taste as well :) We followed with dinner at one of our favorite places-the Texican. There certainly is no shortage of great Tex-Mex restaurants in Austin!
Here are our angels enjoying their appetizers puffs. (Note Zoe's full chipmunk cheeks.)

Cheers!

Sweet boys!
Testing Mama's ice water-
Despite the funny face, Zoe loved the water and wanted to try it again and again. Funny face every time...
Yes, we were "that" family, leaving a mess on the floor. Lucky for me, the kids are so cute that the server dismissed my apology with a reassuring comment and smile. You can also see the twins' new Robeez shoes.

Peek-a-boo!

Zack has been playing peek-a-boo since he was just a few months old. It's still a favorite-

You can see a few more videos from today on the Youtube sidebar to the right->

Almost...

Almost walking and talking these days! Both babies love to push toys and chairs around as they get ready to walk. Zoe has taken 3 steps, though she's always in a hurry and crawling is faster. Zack has taken a step and is quietly waiting to surprise all of us with walking-he's a pretty determined guy. Favorite words include Dada, Mama, dog, yeah, hi, and loads of other things that only they understand so far. Zoe is very talkative most of the time and Zack combines talking with trying to communicate with his eyes, which is very sweet. Sometimes they choose long conversations with each other rather than naps...it will be fun when we can understand the "crib-talk" over the monitor. We can't get enough of them and Zander is a super big brother!
