Valentine Treasures

Happy Valentine's Day to all! Today, Zander surprised us with fantastic hand-made Valentine's card with a lovely poem titled "I Love You More Than Vanilla". As a point of reference, Zander is a "vanilla" guy, always choosing it over chocolate... ;)

"I love you more than vanilla,

than weekends and a plum,

than chocolate cakes and lemon

shakes and cherry bubble gum.

I love you more than oreos and

video game times, than computer

and game time and fun computer

times, I love you more than

oreos than cinnamon on toast

Oh I love legos of any size,

but I love you the most."

Way to go, Zander! Can you tell that he enjoys computer time? Another thing that Zander loves is Cubscouts. Here he is with Rick at the UT basketball game last weekend. They had a blast!

Can't forget our sweet little treasures! It was an interesting and fun Valentine's Day at their Montessori pre-school with lots of homemade valentines and no candy(?)...I guess that their class is sweet enough. With our busy schedules, I'm lucky that they enjoyed giving their cute, store bought valentines.

Zack requested a solo picture-

So of course Zoe was ready to pose as well-

Last but not least, Rick and I enjoyed a nice date-night this past Saturday. Our friend Merideth, who introduced us almost 12 years ago, married the love of her life that she met 15 years ago in Australia. After their meeting, he tried to find her for over 10 years, and they've been together since. It was a western themed reception with BBQ, a mechanical bull, live music, and a first for me-chicken sh$$ bingo? Tonight we enjoyed a quick family dinner and chocolate covered strawberries before Rick rushed off to save the city with his emergency medical care.

Disney Surprise Part 1- Disneyland!

After keeping an amazing secret for what seemed like an eternity, we took the Z Pack to the airport and let them know that we were on our way to DISNEYLAND!!!

Everyone enjoyed our JetBlue flight...comfy space and personal TVs at a great price!

Then we were ready to roll in style!

The kids were just a bit excited. It may have been the wildest ride the limo had seen...or maybe not.

Here are the kids in their first moments at the Disneyland Hotel. It was truly amazing place to stay for our visit! We enjoyed the fireworks show out of our room's window, then drifted off to sweet dreams under the gigantic, room-size headboard that lit up and twinkled as our nightlight--too cool!

It was rainy and cold for our Disneyland morning, though we were prepared with rainboots, jackets, dry clothes, and a "Dumbo or die" Disney in a day planning ap. The wet weather meant zero lines, which allowed us to really enjoy both parks. "It's a Small World" was still set up for Christmas, which was a first for me. We really had a blast!

Zoe wanted to give every character a hug-

And the boys enjoyed chillin' while their sister met the Disney celebrities...over the stroller weight limit perhaps?

Zack wanted to meet Goofy, but only if I would come along-

Zander's 2nd favorite ride, was California Screamin', topped only by Star Wars-Star Tours.

Here is our World of Color pre-show view of the Mickey Wheel of Fun-

After a surprising amount of research and planning, we had the perfect view for the incredible show!

Rick took some great pictures, right?!
